What is Christobel doing?

I have accumulated an inviting pile of old cigar boxes, which is waiting to be turned into a selection of treasure boxes.

but in the meantime I have been experimenting with a combination of felt, vintage leather and my old buttons....

and making some graduated paper boats which I am going to string together....

as well as some new gift tags....

Made on the Left will be having its first market for 2012 on 29 July in the State Theatre, Northbridge, which should be a terrific venue.  I hope to have a stall there, so I need to keep busy making things.

Christmas Baubles

When it is impossibly hot outside there is nothing left to do but to set oneself an indoor challenge.  My challenge this weekend was to fill 48 Christmas glass baubles with paper boats and paper stars.

These are for sale at the The Vintage Christmas Pop Up Shop in Mt Lawley (in the arcade next to Grill'd).

Mellow Yellow

Maybe it's because it is Spring, or maybe for no reason whatsoever, but I seem to be working with yellow at the moment.

Boats, bunting, cards - it's all happening.
