Actually they are old books which I have turned into frames by cutting out a section of the cover.
You can stand them up by opening the book slightly or you could hang them flat against a wall.
They can be used for pictures, photos or anything at all that fits behind the space really.

Christobel Book Sculptures
It suddenly occurred to me that some people may wonder why I wrote in yesterday's post about being excited to discover a fellow paper artist. The reason is, of course, that I too make shapes out of old books.

My Workspace


Here are a couple of pictures of my workspace. You can see that I am a bit of a collector - old books, old tin picture frames, old sewing things - pretty much anything old and interesting actually! I find it helps be to be a bit more creative having these things around me - I don't think I could ever do anything creative in a sterile workspace, but it can somethimes be a challenge to find enough space to actually work in!
