The Letter X

X was always going to be a tricky one, but a bit of lateral thinking got me there in the end.

Wrap up for Winter

It's time to start layering up for Winter.

Mustard is my new favourite colour for Winter - it goes with almost everything.

The cosiest scarf ever - from Pigeonhole

Spotted shirt from Toolz in Melbourne, linen pants from Gorman

and to tie it all together - a selection of mustard bangles from Rose Street Artists' Market, Melbourne.

Winter Walks

There is nothing quite as refreshing for body and soul as walking on a beach on a winter's day.

Yallingup Beach was washed squeaky clean after last week's massive storms.

No dogs are allowed on Busselton Jetty, so we walked along the foreshore instead.

What is Christobel doing?

I have accumulated an inviting pile of old cigar boxes, which is waiting to be turned into a selection of treasure boxes.

but in the meantime I have been experimenting with a combination of felt, vintage leather and my old buttons....

and making some graduated paper boats which I am going to string together....

as well as some new gift tags....

Made on the Left will be having its first market for 2012 on 29 July in the State Theatre, Northbridge, which should be a terrific venue.  I hope to have a stall there, so I need to keep busy making things.
